We left our home in Brookings at 6:00 PM on Thursday night and drove over the river and through the woods to "LaLa's" house. Paige started out with plenty of gusto, but that faded (thank goodness!!!) about halfway through the ten hour drive. Kaitlyn has more frequent rider miles than a college tennis team, so she is a big help when needing to find dropped sippy cups, pretzels, toys, books . . . did I mention sippy cups? Gretta seems to think that I will fall asleep at the wheel, but there is nothing like a bright flash in your face that blinds you for about five seconds to keep you awake.
