Paige's first Ballet Class

Paige did a GREAT job at her first ballet class. There were five girls there total and after getting through the initial apprehension, she did just fine. She said "I want to go to my dance preschool now," for the few hours before it was time to get ready.

Emma came along with Mom and Dad too and was a great supporter.

As you can see, we stayed pretty close to Mom and Dad initially, but the parents don't go in the dance studio with the kids, they watch it on tv in another room. It makes such a big difference.

We finally got Paige to go in before the class had started and she looked a little nervous, but by the end was doing a great job of following the instructions of the teacher.


Emma couldn't care less. She had blocks to play with.

This one makes me laugh, she looks like she's thinking "you want me to lie down and kick my feet, no thanks, I'll just watch you do it and hold this cool pom-pom."

The class was thirty minutes, which was plenty of time. She came out looking so proud of herself (and her yellow star sticker too!)


Of course Emma wouldn't stop saying "Cheese." so I took a couple of her.

We ended the night with some ice cream, of course. Paige has already asked to go back and dance again. She's got classes on June 10th, 17th and the 24th. After this experience and seeing Micah's reaction to seeing Paige in her cute little outfit and watching him almost cry, I guess four little girls wouldn't be so bad after all. :)
