We're in the frozen tundra again...

Would someone please explain how it goes from 42 degrees (yesterday) to a high of -1 degree with a wind chill of 35 below (today)? Thankfully we'll be out of it all day, playing inside and napping in our warm beds. Ahhhhhhh.
